Information signs, which include behavioral rules, are rectangular or quadratic. They usually have a white symbol or a symbol in a white inner panel on a blue background.

The information signs are placed at the beginning of the route for which the information applies. The length of the route to which the reference relates can be indicated on the additional board "Route length" (503).

Information signs can also serve as an advance notice with the included "Distance panel" (501).
