Instruction signals Indicate a regulation (regulation sign) or prohibition (prohibition sign). They are usually round. Prohibition signals Generally have a red border and a black symbol on a white background. Forbids doing something. Regulation signals Have a narrow white border and a white symbol on a blue background. Orders to do something. If a rule is announced for something which will come in to effect later, a "Distance panel" (501) is attached. Exceptions to stated regulations (for example, "Parking with written exception approval") are noted on an additional panel. · Trips to deliver or pick up goods from local residents.
