Accidents involving material damage

If only material damage has occurred, the injured party must be notified immediately. The name and address are to be given. If the injured party can not be found, the police must be informed immediately.

If traffic hazards or other dangers (oil spills, etc.) arise as a result of accidents, the parties must immediately take safety measures. If the danger can not be eliminated immediately or if water has been polluted or could be polluted, the police should be called immediately.

Accidents with injured persons

Before injured persons are cared for, traffic must be secured.

In the event of an accident involving an injured person, the police must be informed immediately if someone has an external injury or if internal injuries are likely. In the event of small abrasions or bruises, the police do not have to be called, but the injuring person has to give the injured party name and address.

After an accident with bodily injury, all parties involved have to aid, also uninvolved have to aid, as far as it is can be reasonably expected. All the parties concerned must help to determine the facts. Without the permission of the police, they can not leave the accident site unless they need help or call for help.
