44 Behavior in the case of accidents

If an accident occurs, all parties must stop immediately. If possible, you have to ensure the safety of the traffic (use the emergency signal, activate warning lights, warn the following vehicles, etc.). Until the arrival of the police, the situation may only be altered to protect injured persons or to secure traffic. The origin location should be marked in advance on the street.

If an injured party wishes to involve the police, the remaining parties must cooperate in the determination of the facts until they are released by the police.

In the event that a vehicle driver is subsequently informed that he was or could be involved in an accident, he or she must immediately return to the accident site or report to the police.
