36 Tires

Tires shall have at least 1.6 mm deep profile grooves at every point on the tread. To recut tires for passenger cars is prohibited. The air pressure should be checked regularly. Too low air pressure results in higher fuel consumption and greater pollutant emissions. In addition, the tires can be damaged by excessive air pressure due to excessive heating.

Spikes are tires with recessed pins. The top speed with spike tires is 80 km/h. On the rear of vehicles with a spike tire, a maximum speed sign with the number 80 must be attached. Vehicles with spike tires are not allowed to use motorways and expressways. Spike tires may only be used during the period from 1 November to 30 April. Exception: In winter conditions, spike tires may also be used outside this period.
