32 Load

Overloading vehicles is not permitted. The load is to be installed in such a way, that nobody is endangered or injured, and it can not fall off. When transporting visibility hindering cargo, special care must be taken when entering and turning. The control signs and the lights must not be obscured by the load.

The load must not overhang multi-track motor vehicles and trailers, on the sides.

Exceptions:

a. Indivisible sports equipment not exceeding 2,55 m wide on sports equipment trailers.
b. Bicycles attached to the back of motor vehicles, if they do not exceed the vehicle more than 20 cm per side and the total width is not more than 2 m.

Fahrzeug LadungThe maximum permitted load length for motor vehicles, measured from the center of the steering device, is 3 m at the front. For motor vehicles and trailers, at maximum load length is 5 m behind the center of the rear axle, when it extends beyond the loading area. The end of loads which overhang the vehicle on the backside by more than 1 m, should be marked with a signaling element (sphere, pyramid, etc.).

The weight of roof load carriers may not exceed 50 kg together with their payload. A higher weight can be granted by the approval authority, by means of an entry in the vehicle identification document. Roof loads have a negative effect on the driving behavior, especially in curves.

A cargo that can easily be blown off while driving (for example, sand or straw) must be effectively covered.
