Driving Rules

To give way: If the tram runs on the left side of the road, the driver who is driving in the same direction must leave enough space that oncoming traffic can pass on the left.

30 Behavior at railway crossings

It is necessary to stop at railway crossings, when barriers close or signals (red flashing light, red light and acoustic signals) indicate to stop. If a railway crossing has neither limits nor signals, or if the yellow light of a light signaling system flashes, special caution is advised, look to the right and left, and only drive if no trains are seen. When crossing, any delay must be avoided.

Heavy vehicles should stop around 100 m in front of railway crossings, in order to facilitate overtaking for following vehicles.

In the case of accidents on railroad tracks, the parties must notify the railway authorities immediately.
