14 Indicating The driver has to announce all changes of direction in time. After the change of direction, the indicators must be stopped immediately. To signal the change of direction, the direction indicators (blinkers) or clear hand signals must be used. This applies in particular to: When entering the roundabout, and if there is no lane change, the driver does not have to indicate the direction. Indicating does not release the driver from taking necessary precaution. The driver has to take into consideration the oncoming traffic and vehicles behind. Therefore, before indicating: look into the interior and exterior mirror as well as looking sideways.
