10 Zipper traffic If, on roads with several lanes in one direction, it is not possible to drive continuously on one lane, the vehicles that are prevented from continuing their journey must be allowed to pass alternately onto the adjacent lane immediately before the narrowing (zipper traffic). 11 Crossing If crossing is blocked by an obstacle (e.g. building work) in its own lane, the priority must be given to oncoming traffic.
When crossing and overtaking crawler type vehicles, a lateral distance of at least 1 m must be maintained. On narrow roads, you may only overtake when the driver of the crawler has cleared the road. If crossing is not possible on a narrow road, trailers (a) have priority over other vehicles, company cars (b) before trucks (c) and heavy motor vehicles (b, c) before light vehicles (d). In the case of similar vehicles, the one which is closer to an exit point must go first.
