Motorcycles and mopeds are not subject to exhaust gas maintenance, as are motor vehicles which have an approved on-board diagnostic system (OBD system). On vehicles subject to exhaust gas maintenance, the owner shall have to carry out controls on exhaust emissions for those parts regularly within the following time limits: - Without catalyst every 12 months The driver is obliged to carry the exhaust gas maintenance document and show it to the inspection authorities on request. For vehicles with a recognized OBD system, if the OBD system indicates an error, the owner must have the vehicle checked and repaired within one month. 6 Driver and vehicle As a vehicle driver, the regulations must be followed and consideration given to others. The driver must constantly control the vehicle in such a way, that he can comply with his/her precautionary obligations. Anyone who is unable to drive because of fatigue, alcohol, drugs, narcotics or for any other reason must not drive a vehicle. Likewise, it is forbidden to leave a vehicle to a driver who is not able to drive. Driving under the influence of alcohol(≥ 0.1 g/kg blood concentration or 0.05 mg/l breath concentration) is prohibited for: - Driving with a probationary license- Driving students - Accompanying persons on learning trips - Tractor driver with a tractor weight of more than 3.5 t
