Markings

Many markers are white. In the case of detours and construction sites, yellow-orange markers with yellow-orange reflectors or yellow-orange guide bodies are generally used, which cancel the validity of the existing white markings.

601 Safety lines. The white, uninterrupted safety line marks the roadway or lane boundaries. The safety line must not be crossed or passed.

602 Double safety lines. On lanes with at least two lanes, double safety lines can be used to separate the two directions of travel.

603 Guidelines. The white, broken guide line marks the center of the road or lane boundaries. If the traffic conditions allow, guidelines may be crossed by vehicles.

604 Double lines. A double line is a safety line next to a guideline. It may only be crossed by vehicles if the guideline is closer. If the safety line is closer, the double line must neither be crossed nor passed.
